The best candidates are patients under age 35 with regular menstrual cycles, a serum FSH < 10 and an estradiol < 70. Patients with these features who are considering treatment with intrauterine insemination (IUI) should strongly consider undergoing treatment with Natural Cycle IVF rather than IUI, as the likelihood for pregnancy may be greater.

In general, male factor infertility is best treated with IVF compared with IUI and we believe that Natural Cycle IVF may result in superior pregnancy rates compared to IUI. With NCIVF, the egg will be fertilized using ICSI to ensure that fertilization occurs. Patients 35 and older may also be considered for Natural Cycle IVF, but such patients may have a better chance for pregnancy using Stimulated IVF. When more embryos are transferred, the chances for pregnancy may be increased in older aged infertile women.
